Amazon Music closed out its current season of the Amazon Music Live series with a dynamic 50-minute set from Latto following Thursday Night Football.
Broadcast simultaneously on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, the second season of the performance series has already featured a carousel of some of music’s biggest names, counting Metro Boomin, Green Day and Ed Sheeran as some of its headliners. The latter, which opened the season in September, broke streaming records for Amazon Music, with more unique viewers of any Amazon Music production in a single day. At its conclusion, the series was up 280% in viewership over the last season, with the first three episodes eclipsing the entirety of season one.

Latto served as the finale on Nov. 2, taking over the makeshift venue nestled next to Los Angeles’ The Grove. With branding everywhere as far as the eye could see, Amazon Music staged an evening custom-fitted to Latto, the Grammy-nominated Atlanta rapper who made her name on both street anthems and pop crossovers, including “Lottery” with Lu Kala and her biggest hit-to-date, “Big Energy,” that got an assist on the remix from DJ Khaled and Mariah Carey.

Latto was in full pop star mode during her set, with four backup dancers wearing Latto-branded clothing and a DJ who shouted out Amazon’s participation at nearly every turn. The evening had its share of supporting star power, with special surprises from GloRilla and Amazon Music Live host 2 Chainz coming out for guest verses.
To kick things off, Latto went into beast mode, ripping through “Soufside” on a stage designed as a two-lane avenue complete with street lights and flanked pillars of graffiti. The fan favorites kept on rolling: Latto performed “He Say She Say,” calling out to the crowd: “Where my ladies at? If you pay your own motherfuckin’ bills, scream. I’m lookin’ for my boss, gettin’ money, independent bitches. I got one question: Why the fuck would we let these men police our pussy?”
It’s here where Latto made a statement, with the backup dancers emerging from the back of the stage holding protest signs that read “Protect women’s rights” and “My Body My Choice” — a nod to the song at hand, “My Body.”
The hits kept on rolling, including “It’s Givin” and “FTCU,” where Latto stood on the DJ’s decks to preach to the audience. She shared the spotlight with an appearance from GloRilla for the remix to the latter’s “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” replete with full choreography, and referenced her viral moment on TikTok, rapping “Thank you to my man,” which dominated the feeds earlier this summer after a producer flipped her acceptance speech from an awards show into a track. 2 Chainz also made a cameo, with an introduction to their collab “Quarantine Thick”: “It’s near and dear to me because we was all sitting at home with nothing to do, we was all on lockdown, nothing to eat, no vibes, no parties, nothing. So this song was happiness in the dark time.”
The major pop moment came near the end, with Latto joining her backup dancers for “Lottery,” stage-ready for a close-up. “Big Energy” followed, expectedly, for a grand finale. “I just want to leave everybody with a message,” she concluded. “If you have a dream, never stop chasing that shit. I worked hard. If you know me and my story, I worked so hard to get where I’m at right now. A lot of blood, sweat and tears. A lot of prayers. And I just want y’all to know, if I did this shit, you can too, on my mama. Next time a hatin’ ass bitch got something to say? Take the motherfuckin’ high road and let the sunshine on that bitch.”
